Detention: Standup Comedy Show Manchester Concert reviews
Roger Waters: The Wall - A Must See
I feel so lucky to have been able to attend. The sets were phenomenal, the sound was so crisp that you could feel it in your core. The photos of the flashing fallen on the Wall really had me choked up a few times, and it was hard to hold back tears at times. The Wall was the most visually exciting show I have ever seen. It was an experience! I wanted so badly to buy tickets for the next day's show; it was that good. Our seats were dead center, so we had a straight shot view of the wall during the whole show. Definitely worth the $125/seat we paid for the show. If you can get tickets, go, you will not be disappointed, I promise.
CRAZY
The show started off well with the first 5 people being the highlight. Detention: Standup Comedy Show struggled to keep up with his jokes once he took the stage. The long pauses between the jokes and punchlines made the humor fall flat. Audience members began shouting "Come on Katt" due to the excessive delays in the delivery. When one man's outburst prompted police intervention, Detention: Standup Comedy Show remarked that he may have attended the wrong event and that it was nearly over. Following this, attendees started leaving to avoid traffic, which angered the performer, leading him to storm off stage prematurely. It was a disappointing experience for us as a group of 7, feeling it was unjust for him to leave so soon after people started exiting. Had he not hinted that the show was ending, the audience might have stayed. While the earlier acts were enjoyable, Katt Williams' performance was a letdown, and I would not recommend seeing him. On a separate note, the Desoto Civic Center left much to be desired, with chaotic parking arrangements and limited concessions. I have no intention of returning to the DCC in the future.
